It’s been a couple of weeks (and a bit) since my last update, but I have an excuse, seriously! My dog ate my DSL connection. emoticon

Seriously though, I have finally ordered some couches and bedroom furniture so I can resume normal living operations. – Scheduled for completion in 4-6 weeks. -

I also recently had a plumber come out and clean out my shower drain – so now I can shower like a normal person (ie. and not have to stand in 2cm of water).

I did spend the last 5 days in sunny Queensland (will have some photos up soon).

Anyways, time for bed for little Lozz. I will have some more updates over the next week.

Take care chookies!

Well, some well overdue overhauls/upgrades/renovations were done all around.

The day started well with some shopping at the lovely Church St in Brighton. What took place was a completion fashion upgrade for yours truly – who really REALLY needed it!

Kudos to Sarah for some great style choices – a new Lozz has emerged.

My bike also received some minor upgrades and new parts, seeing as I do a lot more biking around now on weekends.

And today marked the first putty experience, with a few "trial" holes being filled. We’ll see how well I did tomorrow morning before I do the rest.

Fill her up baby!

Well, what a fantastic weekend this was (and bear in mind, the first one I’ve had for a while).

I got a fair bit done around the house (cleaning, installing door handles, sorting things out). Oh, did I happen to mention I turned 28 on Saturday? Yeah, that happened too.

Birthday picsQuite a good party with some great friends, and a lot of singing. (click the photo for more pics)

A big thank you to all those that came along and made it the great night that it was!

My family bought me a fantastic cordless tool set which included: jigsaw, circular saw, drill, lamp, sander. Quite a damn good set. I also used my bolt cutters for the first time this weekend – wow that was fun!

I also used both drills at the same time (well, not literally – but I had different heads in each drill so I didn’t have to keep changing heads, just swap drills).

Also, during the week I purchased one of those light/heater/fan combos for my bathroom – so that will also be installed soon. I also purchased a dining suite, and the new Georgie Foreman griller.

Do you think I’m gearing up towards being a good host?

BRING IT ON!!!

Not a lot has been happening around here due to my lack of time with work and study. I’ve been getting a few quotes on upgrades (ie. wardrobe, hot water system, bathroom lighting/heating/ventilation).

Fancy equipmentThe study has turned into quite a schmick looking room with my new PC and all.

Unfortunately I’m still living in it, but I’m hoping to buy a dining set this weekend.

Apart from that, the cooking goes well and so does the beard growing.

Next week I will have some photos up of my 28th birthday party.

I think I can, I think I can…

There’s only so much one a single person can do and endure.

For the past two weekends I have been attending training for Citrix Presentation Server 4 which has been starting at 9am and lasting until about 4pm each day. This only leaves so many hours in the day to unwind, attend to tasks and actually enjoy life.

As a result, yours truly hasn’t really done much around the place except get rid of more rubbish/items and keep the home clean.

I have however attempted cooking up some stir fry – with rather delicious results!

Also new in my life is a PC with 19" LCD monitor which adds to the clutter in my office. It does however mean I can watch my shows on a larger screen (until I get the projector). This PC will also act as my media centre for the lounge room once I get the rest of the equipment.

Time to crack open a beer, eat some yummy dinner and put the feet up and watch a Dido concert.

Coming soon…. Lozz turns 28!

Well, again a fairly uneventful week at Casa De Lozz, however some progress is being made.

Today I hung an Escher drawing in the toilet. Not because it’s crap (pardon the pun), but because it seems to suit its purpose there (ie. give you something to look at).

Sarz & Lozz A bit shout out to Sexy Sarah (on the left) who helped me decide where all my pictures need to go. We did the maths today and realised that we have known each other almost 9 years to the day! Oh and did I mention she’s an absolute legend?

Also, a big thank you to Helen Davis at South Melbourne Plumbing – who apart from being a fantastic client, also gave me some great ideas and places/names to call for quotes and items.

As well as all that, a big thanks to Bobby Aleksic (whom I worked with at my last job – New Telecom) who sold me his wall heater thing at a good price (which is yet to be determined).

And a final big thank you to Baz & Pete (aka the "Dodgy Bastards" who put my bed in the bathroom during the move) who spent the better part of Saturday furniture shopping with me. We found my perfect dining suite (which I will buy this week), and came up with some good ideas for lounge suites.

Oh gosh the orchestra has begun playing… ummm…. I’d like to thank my dad & step-mum, The Devil, my agent, my imaginary wife & daughter, ummm…. I love you all – I couldn’t have won this Gold Logie without you!

Well, we have updates in the world of my beard, my kitchen, and my renovations!

The beard is coming along nicely, and staying at a relatively safe length. I seem to be getting quite a lot of approval from the females of the species, so this is a positive sign.

The cooking is coming along quite well, with frequent trips to the supermarket for more and more ingredients.

The renovations have paused for the moment while I get more settled. The leak on the washing machine has been resolved with a washer and some tape.

I have body corporate approval to install a hook for my bike, so I can hang it out of the way (and out of the rain!).

A lot more rubbish was removed yesterday, as I utilised the available real estate in the bins at my dads house. One more week and all the renovation rubbish will be gone!

On a different note,  Norah Jones has lent her vocals to a song on the new Mike Patton project "Peeping Tom". Quite an interesting album!

More unpacking took place this week, and I’m still hoping to borrow a female friend for assistance for picture installation.

More pics in a week or so.

Now, off to bed!

Indeed, why don’t I?

As some of you may be aware, yours truly has been hard at work developing a facial modification – something referred to in some communities as a "beard". Today marked the one month anniversary (or thereabouts) of the beginning of this project, and what else could be done to celebrate – but a trimming!

During one of my wonderful voyages to Bunnings & Kmart today to pick up more stuff for my place, I also picked up a beard trimming kit which I thought would go well in my manly toolbox.

Today marked quite a significant day of achievements, with most of rubbish having been removed, and the veranda looking quite clean indeed.

Today also was the initial voyage of the stove, where cooking is beginning to take place.

What is amazing, is that cooking has actually never taken place in any of my kitchens – other than the usual pasta combinations. Today we saw yours truly actually beginning preparing for a much larger dish which will be cooked up and served tomorrow.

And on a smaller note, I replaced the broken door latches at Bunnings – so I’ll soon have door handles on every door other than the kitchen!

Stay tuned for more updates from The Virgin Renovator, The Virgin Cook, and The Virgin Beard-grower!

Well, I’ve update the site even further and put this new template on it.

The only problem is that the links up top don’t work, and some other bits are a bit iffy. I will hopefully have it all sorted by the end of the week.

If there are any problems, please do not hesitate to build a bridge.

Due to popular demand I have revamped the site using new software, which allows the blog to be integrated into the main site – instead of just being a section.

This new page also allows for extra functionality, and also supports templates – meaning it will look far better than anything I could do myself.

So, err… that’s pretty much it. Carry on.
